About Us

HIMA was founded late 2018 with the goal of sharing the high quality and original fashion made in Nepal with the young, socially conscious culture in Western Europe.

After a successful initial launch, selling over 300 pieces in a little over 2 weeks, we've been slowly and steadily growing our fan base and happy customers around the world.

All the products are sourced from an ethical workshop in Kathmandu, Nepal. We are proud of being able to provide fair wages and ethical work conditions to everyone. They are true artisans who produce by hand every piece we sell.

Our items are unique because they are not mass-produced. In practice, this means one artisan is responsible for all the steps in the manufacture of the piece: taking measurements, cutting the fabric, sewing, etc. This is something that brings more joy to the work as you can see all your effort applied in the final product :) Due to this handmade process, there are usually some small variations on the product, but that ultimately is a good thing!

From the inception, we're building a fund to contribute to school in a Nepal. The fund will support individual scholarships and help children achieve the education needed to lift themselves and the community from poverty. See more about that here.
